Builder pre-treatments also expire — worth checking the terms.

Construction compaction on clay that already drained badly is the cause. Extending downspouts well clear of the wall, correcting the grade so it falls away from the house, and keeping the sump serviced deal with it. That damp is what centipedes, camel crickets and springtails follow, so fixing it removes several problems at once.

Lake-emerged midges and mayflies drawn to outdoor lighting rather than anything breeding at your house. They do not bite and they last a day or two. Reducing or warming the outdoor lighting during emergence weeks and keeping doors closed after dark is far more effective than treating the walls.
