Are termites a problem in Ohio?
Present, and more so in the southern half of the state. Eastern subterranean termites work quietly in damp basement joists and sill plates and are worth an inspection when buying. That said, carpenter ants in moisture-damaged wood are the more common structural finding across most of Ohio.
Why do roaches keep coming back in an older building?
Usually because the neighbouring unit was never treated. In attached and multi-family housing the population survives in the shared wall and moves back within weeks. The treatment that holds covers every connected unit at the same time.
Why do stink bugs and lady beetles appear indoors all winter?

When are mosquitoes worst in Ohio?
Late June through August, and it depends heavily on where you are. Toledo and the western basin carry a marsh-bred load the rest of the state does not, and there a seasonal barrier programme does most of the work.
Do I need pest control through an Ohio winter?
Yes, and winter is most of the year here. Rats, mice, German cockroaches and bed bugs are all entirely indoor problems from November through March, and hard freezes concentrate rodent pressure inside rather than reducing it.
